Pretty Woman - A Modern Day Fairy Tale

PRETTY WOMAN! This movie is one of those fairy tales that use a modern day setting.  Romantic? — yes it is definitely romantic! But I think its not being realistic… Face it ladies, as much as we would want to fantasize that a BILLIONAIRE would willingly throw his reputation away just so he can marry a WHORE, is simply NOT THAT SIMPLE in the real world.

Nonetheless this movie made me cry the first time I saw it an d I was about 10 years old by then. I guess deep inside me (or any other woman for that matter) would always dream of having a gallant knight in his shining armor forsaking everything just to be with his princess. I do believe that in the heart of every woman lies a princess, an undying dream of her prince and of happily-ever-afters. Unfortunately, not all fairy tales come true and not all princes are as gallant as Edward (Richard Gear) in the pretty woman.
