Sister Mary Roberts from Sister Act (1) - a dubbed voice?

Ok, I know this is a little out-dated but I was watching the movie Sister Act (1) at home just the other day (some sort of a past time favorite) and I couldn’t helped but get curious by the wonderful voice of Sister Mary Roberts (played by Wendy Makkena) in the movie. There’s only one thing I can say about her – awesome! So, I went all the way and search on the web as to WHO this Wendy Makkena is because there’s simply something intriguing about that innocent and out-of-this world look. Then I got it on from Wikipedia that her singing voice was in fact just DUBBED by somebody named Andrea Robinson. Wow! No wonder why she definitely didn’t sound innocent when she sings!

Have you ever heard of “don’t judge a book by its cover”? Sister Mary Roberts has an amazing voice and a cute personality! The Actress, Wendy Makkena may have a good singing voice, only her voice didn’t fit the singing voice the director or whoever was going for! I believe she can have a good singing voice, but just not the right kind to portray Sister Mary Robert’s singing voice!

Actually it was only dubed in the second Sister Act, not the first one.
